Here are some common questions about our company.

Last updated: 9/2026

1. Who is responsible for your data?

NioSystems (Byron Pastor, sole proprietor registered with Guatemala's SAT) is responsible for the data collected through this website (nio.gt) and through our Odoo hosting and consulting services. Contact: [email protected] · +502 5515 5215.

2. What data do we collect?

  • Data you give us directly: name, email, phone, company, and message content when you use the contact form or write to us on WhatsApp Business.
  • Technical site data: pages visited, traffic source, and aggregated usage statistics, via tools such as Google Search Console.
  • If you're a client of our Odoo hosting service: the data you or your company store in your own database (contacts, sales, invoicing, etc.). That data is yours — we only host and back it up, we don't use it for our own purposes.

3. What do we use your data for?

  • Responding to inquiries, quotes, and diagnostics.
  • Following up on sales leads.
  • Providing and maintaining the Odoo hosting/support service (backups, restores, updates).
  • Meeting tax obligations when an invoice needs to be issued.
We don't sell your contact data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes unrelated to NioSystems.

4. Who do we share it with?

Only with providers needed to operate the service: our VPS/hosting provider, Cloudflare (DNS/CDN), Meta/WhatsApp Business (if you write to us on that channel), and payment gateways where applicable. None of them use your data for anything beyond providing that technical service.

5. How long do we keep it?

Contact/lead data is kept while there's an active or potential business relationship. Hosting clients' operational data is kept for the duration of the service agreement, plus the backup retention period defined in that agreement.

6. Cookies

This site uses technical and basic analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, request corrections, or ask for deletion (where there's no legal or contractual obligation to keep it) by writing to [email protected].

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this document. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
